We are trying to modify pdfs online so that user can add thier own name address and logo to a pdf and print it off, I have two problems I would appreciate help with...

1) We are having a spot of bother getting the FDF SDK to work on the NT Server... We have developed what we need on NT Workstation and it works fine... when we take it onto NT Server however it will not work...

We get the error FdfApp.FdfApp.1 error '80040200'

We have checked all file permissions and settings in NT and IIS and on the files and dll's themselves and am at a complete loss as they seem to be fine.

2)We are trying to alter pdf files online all the methods I have found so far seem to be geared up to generate the pdf from text or from html...

We do not wish to create a pdf, what we want do is modify existing ones... From the website we want to have a form where you can add text (Name, address and other contact information) to a specific part in the document... We also want to able to add a logo (as a gif or a jpg) into the document in specific parts... sp people can print personalised versions of an existing pdf...

I have been looking at ways of doing it with javascript within the pdf itself... but I'm not having too much luck...

It doesnt seem to have a way of getting all the fields to calculate on loading rather than after an event and the only was of bringing data in seems to be in a .js file in the plugins directory of acrobat, this works ok on my machine but obviously as it is the acrobat plugins directory on the viewing machine that needs to have this file added it will not work over the internet...

Modifying pdfs doesnt not seem easy!!!

Hope someone out there can come to the rescue...

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
