Topic: Multiple Distillers as OLE Server from VB
Conf: (P-PDF) Developers, Msg: 54791

I'm Trying to run multiple instances of Distiller as an OLE server from multiple VB apps (each VB app to have its own Distiller). Using VB4 on Win NT 4.0 and Acrobat 4.

The first VB app starts up and gets a Distiller instance. When the next one attempts to use the Create method (or any other method that causes Distiller to start) I get a run-time error stating that the OLE server threw an exception.

I can, however, get two Distillers to run from the command line using the /N option.

Does anyone have any clues or code samples that could help me out (I'm relatively new to VB and OLE automation)?

Here's the code I'm using to launch Distiller:
Dim pdf As New PdfDistiller
pdf.bShowWindow = 1
pdf.FileToPDF "c:\", "c:target.pdf", " "

Thanks in advance for any help.
