Hi all
I have a servlet streaming pdf content onto a browser. The problem I have is after I writeTo the browser stream, the reader plug-in generates two more requests to the servlet and due to this the output takes longer time. I have found out that if I change the content type from "application/pdf" to "text/plain", the request is made only once (which is correct), which seems to imply to me that the acr. reader to causing the next 2 requests.

I tried setting "Use Page Cache" in reader and it is of no avail.

My browser setting (IE5.0) for temp. interntet files is "every time you visit a page". Other settings donot seem to work as per my expectation.

The "Cache-control" headers are there only to negate the "cache" mechanism. There is nothing that I could figure out which says "use the cache" or something I like that. I guess "use cache" is by default.

Does anybody know how to prevent the subsequent requests from the reader?
