Topic: Need help for FDF on Unix (Solaris) - libjFdfTk.so
Conf: (P-PDF) Developers, Msg: 54831

I'm running a sample servlet (GenerateFDF.java) from Adobe on WebSphere environment on Unix Solaris. I used the library downloaded for java version: libjFdfKt.so. LD_LIBRARY_PATH has been set. The problem I'm having is when I hit the servlet thru my browser, I saw this error message:
"Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site http://.../GenerateFDF. The server returned an invalid or unrecognized response."
In the web server log file stderr.txt, I saw this exception stack trace:
[1] com.adobe.fdf.FDFDoc.Create(Native Method)
[2] com.adobe.fdf.FDFDoc.(FDFDoc.java:30)
[3] GenerateFDF.service(GenerateFDF.java:48)
[4] javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:853)
......

From my dubug output messages, it confirmed that the program stopped at the point when it tried to initialize FDFDoc: FDFDoc doc = new FDFDoc();

I used decompiler to look into the code FDFDoc.java. It calls a native method "Create" while it does the initialization.

The same code runs fine on my NT environment with jfdftk.dll and fdftk.jar.

I'm wondering if there is anyone on this forum knows why and how to resolve it.

Your reply will be appreciated very much!
