-- We need to be able to produce an Adobe Acrobat file that can be viewed with frozen headers and footers at the top and left hand side, and with a main viewing window that enables the reader to pan and zoom on the chart body, while the headers at the top and left hand side scroll, in synchronization with the observed section of the chart body.
-- Anyone know how to do this with Adobe Acrobat software? Or perhaps we should try some other software. This enhancement follows a concept that is outside the usual printed paper paradigm, but would be very useful for large charts, tables, and maps, making them easy to study on desktop and handheld computers, no matter how small the viewing screen. Currently, it is not feasible to read our large charts or tables with current version of Adobe Acrobat, because as the user pans and zooms areas of the chart, he loses reference to the info in the headers at the top and left hand side of the chart. As a result, the viewer must repeatedly scroll back up & down and left & right, in order to keep oriented and correctly interpret the chart.
