Hi

I am wondering if anyone can help with this seemingly
simple requirement.

What I want to do is do a "text" search of the stream
object in PDF files looking for certain pattern or
text, replace it and then write out the changes. My
choice of development platform would be either Solaris
or FreeBSD.

Does anyone know of a good PDF API that allows me to
read in PDF file easily and search for the right object
, make the changes and write out the changes at the end
with auto calculcation of new offset since changes may
mean different file size and hence the offset of new
object.

I have search a bit on package that generates PDF
format on the fly but none seems to come with an input
related APIs that deal with reading in existing PDF
file format.

Thanks for your help
