I would like to develop a VB application which controls the creation of PDF-files from a bunch of Excel sheets.

That means that you first print the sheets to the Distiller printer.

After that I would like to use the PdfDistiller object to be able to control the creation of the PDF files in detail.

While doing this, I would like to be able to show the Distiller process with a ProgressBar object, as well as all the messages that are sent from Acrobat Distiller. That means that I need to handle the events of the PdfDistiller object.

All messages in this forum that have handled this matter, just takes that short code string from the "Acrobat Distiller API Reference" as example all the time. That's not enought for me... :) I would also like to know how get my hands on the events.

In the Reference Adobe writes something about the "Create"-method when it comes to the that the hidden clue? Or is it to encapsulate the code in a class which is then referenced with a "WithEvents"?

Is there anybody here that have written some code that could be of some help to me?

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
