Hi,

can anyone explain me the problems I have getting the filename of a pdf while it is display in a web browser window?

In detail: I try to write a little update service for a cdrom application. Newer PDF files which are stored on harddisk should be open instead of a same named file from cdrom. All files are local (cdrom or harddisk) but are displayed in an external browser window (Netscape or IE5).

My first trial was to replace the AVDocOpenFromFileWithParams() method => works great, but only in an Acrobat window. In a browser window it does nothing.

Second trial was an own notification callback for AVDocDidOpen: My callback function got an usable AVDoc object and with AVDocOpenFileWithParams() I could successfully open another pdf file in the given browser window, but I don't get the filename of the previous opened file displayed in the browser window!? The method ASFileAcquirePathName() returns me an empty string.

Please, has anyone an idea to get with a plugin the filename of a pdf displayed in a browser window?

Thank you in advance,
Axel
