Please help. I am trying to print PDF files in PDF Viewer from VB (or VBA in Access) through automation. I am creating a document viewer for my company that allows them to select several documents, open them, e-mail them, print them, etc. I have been able to automate the printing process with the full version of Acrobat. BUT - I understand that the OLE automation doesn't work with reader, that it must be done through DDE?(which I am not familiar with). ALSO - I am trying to give the user the option of printing drawings in 11x17 format and can't see how to change the printer settings to do this. I keep getting 8x11 size regardless. Code sample below.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dim a As Object 'CAcroAVDoc
Dim d As Object 'CAcroPDDoc

Dim res As Long
Dim lngPages As Long
Dim prt As Printer
Set d = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")
If d Is Nothing Then Exit Sub
res = d.Open(Me.txtFileName) ' file name supplied
Set a = d.OpenAVDoc("Title")

lngPages = d.GetNumPages
res = a.printPages(0, lngPages - 1, 2, 0, True)

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
