Topic: Problems with PDF and Internet Explorer

I've had this problem for a long time, but it is finally becoming serious.
The problem is that I cannot create two separate windows with the same PDF file using Internet Explorer using windows NT.
Given a web page (it doesn't have to be the same page actually), whose function is to open the same PDF file in two windows (separate objects from the parent), if the first window is closed before the second, the second window hangs when it is closed and must be killed using the task manager.
While I can stop the user from opening more than one window, having more than one separate window open is actually very useful, especially when they are being used for online forms. For example, the user might be working on two jobs at the same time and wants to be able to move from form to form. Or, they may wish to copy information from one form to another.
To illustrate (for readers with web browser access) I have attached a demonstration web page. The idea is to replace the PDF file in the page with your own, and try it out on your own system. I would be very interested in knowing if this problem is widespread or whether it is some local problem.
