Topic: Programmatically changing PDFWriter Orientation -

AS part of my VB app that prints to the PDFWriter using Crystal Reports under NT 4.0, I have been attempting to programmatically force the page orientation to Landscape.
The Acrobat PDFWriter API Reference suggests that changing the value of the "orient" key under HKCU/Software/Adobe/Acrobat PDFWriter in the Registry would do the trick. However, changing this value does not seem to override the orientation set manually through the Control Panel/Printers dialog.
I tested further, and observed the same behaviour editing the registry manually. In other words, changing the the default orientation via the Control Panel/Printers dialog modifies the Registry, but changing the registry does not cause the default setting to change when the Printers dialog is next displayed.
It seems likely that the setting is stored in an additional location...but where?
Assistance in solving this one would be greatly appreciated. If I can't enforce orientation via my App, I'll have to put up a message box advising the Users to check it themselves...not very elegant!
