Topic: Question about On Blur-Please Help

I am trying to add a javascript command to see if a field is blank and it is not working properly. I want to have an alert box come up if the user didn't enter anything in the current field. I want to put it in the on blur command rather than the validate because if a user doesn't make a keystroke it will not try to validate. The problem I am having is once I enter information in a field and tab to the next it still comes up with my alert box as if nothing was entered. I realized that if I then go back to that field and tab out again that it works. Why do I not capture the correct field value the first time I try to exit the field.

Here is the code that I am trying to use.

var a = event.value

if (a == 0){ app."You must fill in a client's name.") }

Please help as I am stuck trying to figure this out.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
