Val,

I am not quite sure if there is not already a flaw in the conception
of your documents. Please forgive me if the following assumptions are
wrong.

I assume that your base documents do have rather large typesizes
(which is the obvious way to make things more readable; believe me, I
did increase the type size of my e-mail program that even I have less
problems to read the messages without creeping into the monitor ).

Anyway, in your case, the preferrable approach is to increase
everything in size. The most commonly used platforms do have a system
utility which allows to display the screen zoomed. Now, every single
pixel will be displayed as a blob of 2x2 pixels. And this also
affects the cursors. This utility is part of the standard
installation of the operating system (most do not install it, but it
is there, and therefore available at no additional cost).

Now, different cursors or colored cursors. First, you would have to
make sure that you would not break any licence agreements when you
fiddle around with cursors and make them available for the public.
Being a Mac person, I don't know enough about Windows, on how it
could be done. But on Mac, you could start fiddling with the CURS
resources using Resedit. You may get a problem with changing the size
of the cursor, as this seems to be an internal value (check with the
MacOS development documentation), but you could create a filled
cursor.

Hope, this can help.
