Becuase the control you mention is not documented anything you do with it
will be unsupported, which probably isn't the best platform to develop a
product with.

Even if you could disable the save button, the user would be able to grab
the PDF from the temporary folder or right click on the link to do a 'Save

Perhaps tightening/adding some security on the PDF may help?
