Create a Pdf document with one empty page, the same size as the document which pages you want to number.
You can do this by creating a standard textfile with on the first line the text "showpage". Drag this file into
distiller and it will create the desired Pdf. Use distiller 'Job Options, Default Page Size' to size the page.
Open the file which pages you want to be numbered and insert this file before the first page and create a
formfield-text on the position where you want to have the pagenumbers, and format the text the way you want
the pagenumbers to look. Name this field "PageNumber".
Then make this page a template. Name it "Template". Don't make the template hidden! Create on the first page
Mousedown event with the following script:
for (Counter=1; Counter < this.numPages; Counter++)
numbered. Now you can delete the button, the template and the first page.
