You could do it with AppleScript and some 3rd party tools
(PreFab Player, some OSAXen, etc.) if you wanted - it would mostly be
faking out user events (clicking OK in print dialog, etc.) and you'd
lose any "fancy" features of the Word documents (hyperlinks,
structure, etc.).

The best tool that I've seen for doing batch conversion of
Word documents to PDF (and that doesn't violate any Acrobat licenses)
is ActivePDF's Doc Converter (). It's only
available for Windows, but it knows how to convert all the fancy Word
features to PDF and uses a Postscript-based conversion rather than a
PDFWriter based one (as most of its competitors do).

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
