You can try the following - not recommended, but it works.

[borrowed from my own posting]

This is slight of hand on the part of Acrobat. When you open an HTML file using Acrobat it doesn't assign the converted PDF to the Acrobat OLE object. It ends up being a different AVDoc plus it's also performed asynchronously.

You can try the following code to get you closer to your goal. You'll need to incorporate some sort of timeout functionality to make this reliable. Note: it won't work unless all other docs are closed.

Dim AcroApp As CAcroApp
Dim AVDoc As CAcroAVDoc
Dim PDDoc As CAcroPDDoc

Set AcroApp = CreateObject("")
Set AVDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.AVDoc")

' Open the HTML file
AVDoc.Open "C:\temp\test.html", "test"

While PDDoc Is Nothing
Set AVDoc = Nothing
Set PDDoc = Nothing
Set AVDoc = AcroApp.GetActiveDoc
Set PDDoc = AVDoc.GetPDDoc

PDDoc.Save &H1, "c:\temp\test.pdf"

Set PDDoc = Nothing
Set AVDoc = Nothing

End Sub

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
