Be careful you aren't breaking the licence agreement, 'Can't Create ActiveX
Component' (Error 429?) can indicate you are trying to do some
functionality that is present in the full version of Acrobat, but not in the
Reader? Or the object you are declaring from the PDF.tlb/ocx is not a valid
When you install Reader, the ActiveX controls that are installed are for the
Browser (IE), these controls are unsupported/undocumented and UNREGISTERED,
they are generally not something you would base a stable app on - because
the functions inside the Control are undocumented, the features you use now
may not be present in the next release.
The reason the Wizard doesnt install them is because you haven't added the
file to your Install Project, you can also register the controls using a
setup program (Wise Installer supports the MSI standard), or via REGSVR on
the command line (or from a distributed batch file).
All in all, tred carefully.
