But I have read PDF spec which defines the XObject for image in almost same format as a bmp having tags like
wdith
height
size
bitspercomponent
colorspace /deviceRGB OR /DeviceGRAY OR indirect object and this made me believe that if I have a bmp I can put it into the PDF as XObject with little effort but I can't image the same if I have a GIF. Perhaps you know much more than me so probably you can clarify my doubts.
