First of all, each page of a PDF document can be a different size,
so there isn't a single "height and width" for the document.

As to how to get that information, depends on what development
language and OS platform you are using, whether you will be doing this as a
client or server application, etc. If you can provide more info about what
you are trying to accomplish, I am sure we can help.
