I would suggest a visit to CodeCuts http://www.codecuts.com, you will find
code to open PDF files using InterApplication Communication (IAC).
Although you can certainly use Shell to Launch AcroReader with a PDF file,
you can achieve much more with IAC.
Shell("C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 4.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe
IAC will allow you to open, print and navigate remotely. I have not used
the LinkItem method before so I can't help with that, but if you get stuck
with IAC let me know.
