Antonio,

You can create an AUTOSTART CD on the windows platform that will
automatically load a PDF file and Acrobat Reader, to get it to start at a
specific page you either set it using the File>Doc Info>Open... settings or
use a Page Action>Open>Javascript - this.pageNum ...

I don't think you can open one PDF automatically when you open another
(except without going to a lot of trouble). An determining if a CD has been
inserted is a Windows API call, but you cant access that from within
Acrobat/Javascript.

Also note that Javascript for Acrobat is based on the Acrobat Object Model.
Commands you use to manipulate HTML pages will not work on PDF documents -
mainly because PDF is a final format, not quite so dynamic as HTML can be.
Javascript for browsers although the same language operates on a different
object model, same syntax different objects.
