Ouch! Forgot about the sick way that the Mac Acro plug-in
works and that all UI would indeed come up in the Acro layer.

I am guessing that Acrobat has some patches installed to
handle the plug-in funkyness (like origin offset issues, which would
explain what you are seeing), and they are interfering.

That shouldn't happen, unless, again, there is some strange
patching going on as that would have to be changing the port out from
under you. You ARE making sure that the GrafPort is set correctly,
