Hi Wolfgang!

Of course it is possible to write this tool yourself! Just read the Pdf
specifications and go ahead. But if StampPdf does the job you have in
mind then don't bother the price, because developing such a tool yourself
will cost you a lot of time.
Maybe you should look at other options you have with Pdf like
Pdf-templates or button-form-fields. Also the "watermark" option which is
offered by a lot of printerdrivers can be of help. But then you'll have
to use a PostScript printerdriver and Acrobat Distiller to generate your
Pdf-files. I think Thomas Merz has mentioned this option also in his book
"Web Publishing With Pdf" (I'm not sure about this...)
