I am not sure if you are working in VB or not but this code works in VB
'Save the document - FullSave, SaveCollectGarbage and SaveLinearized to the
'catch errors and send error message
saveOk = pdDoc.Save(37, filename)
I cheated by just putting 37 in instead of all FullSave, SaveCollectGarbage
and SaveLinearized but those are constants in acrobat.tl so you could use
those instead. You need to do a full save if you want to Linearize it
(linearize will optimize the pdf for you, that way it can be downloaded
incrementally instead of all at once)

I have a PDF who weight 24KB. After I added all form fields to that PDF it
now weight 200KB. I an use FDF to fill that PDF.
The problem is the client need to download that 200KB PDF + ~8-20Kb of FDF
data (coming from database) at each request.
Do any substitution method could be used in that case to have the less
transfer between client and server.
