If you have no annotations on the page and you can live with a lower
resolution image, then you could 'refry' the PDF.

Basically all this means is you print the PDF (from Acrobat/Reader) to a
Postscript File (PS), and run the PS file through Distiller - this time
using better compression ratios and making Distiller lower the resolution of
the image.

If you do this quite often then you should look into Quite A Box Of Tricks - - it will lower the DPI of images in the PDF file
to reduce the file size (there's a demo available).
