Acrobat can NOT (legally) be installed on a server, and
therefore could not be executed from a service, so using it directly
or via IAC/COM/OLE is not an option. However, the Adobe PDFLibrary
CAN be called from a service, but I don't believe it is currently

The only options that I can suggest would be using a 3rd
party PDF rasterizer such as Ghostscript (
or our PDFImage or SPDF_CP library ( to
produce something that can be sent to a printer and then doing the
printing yourself. For example, our SPDF_CP library (on Windows) can
convert PDF to EMF files, which are then easy to send to print.
