some functions of IAC work in the free reader, others don't. for example
the print command and the open command work in Reader.

the IACREF.pdf document that Aandi refer's details the functionality on
offer, but unfortunately doesnt indicate it's Reader awareness.

You can probably use IAC and not DDE with Reader, if printing is all you
need, unfortunately the drawback is that the Object Library you need to use
only comes with ACrobat (the full product) and ACrobat isn't licenced for
use on Server/Networks etc.

You can also use the PDF.ocx/tlb but since it's unsupported, you may find
Adobe change how the control works, rendering your app useless etc. etc..
