Hi Shan,

This is a simple PostScript RunLength Encode/Decode string (ShanShan)
example merged with ASCIIHex Encode/Decode filter for 'prompt
visibility' purposes. Run this code in Acrobat Distiller and Voila!

%%% Encoding ...
65535 string /StringEncoded exch def
save
StringEncoded 0 /RunLengthEncode filter /ASCIIHexEncode filter dup
(ShanShan) writestring flushfile
restore

%%% Displaying the Encoded String ...
(\n\nThe Encoded String ...\n\n) print flush
StringEncoded print flush (\n) print flush

%%% Decoding ...
StringEncoded /RunLengthDecode filter
/ASCIIHexDecode filter 65535 string readstring pop

%%% Displaying the Decoded String ...
(\n\nThe Decoded String ...\n\n) print flush print flush
(\n\n\n) print flush

Hope this helps,

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
