Peter,

(whoa) ... From what I can see the code looks ok, something you should do
is check whether the individual files are actually being
Linearized/Optimized - open one up and check it's Doc Info window, if it's
not being optimized do a quick Save As (and check optimize) see if the file
size changes.

I have heard of this before, where the workaround (rather nasty workaround)
was to perform a collect garbage save and then an optimize save.

Has anyone else got any idea why it seems to hang on to all the extra data?
Out of interest are you on 4 or 4.05?
