Do you have the full version of Acrobat? When you select the tlb file to
reference does it say the full title of the Library "Adobe Acrobat 4.0 Type
Library"? or just acrobat.tlb, if it doesnt even show in the list then it
needs to be registered - which usually means it wasnt installed correctly -
or similar.

Do you have a file in the temp directory called "file1.pdf" ? You don't
need pdf.ocx on your form or even referenced.

For this: Set Exch = CreateObject("AcroExch.App") line of code to work it
need this: Dim Exch As Acrobat.CAcroApp declared before hand.

I just tried the code and it worked ok. Please let me know how you go.
