The object reference to PDDoc is obtained only via AVDoc.GetPDDoc.

Something like this:
Dim AVDoc as CAcroAVDoc
Dim PDDoc as CAcroPDDoc
Set AVDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.AVDoc")
Set PDDoc = AVDoc.GetPDDoc.

The IACREF.PDF and the IACOVR.PDF included in the Acrobat SDK
( details this information.
