Hello, We have a system where we scan in documents
and OCR some information off of them, and then store that information in a file. The PDF documents are created on a scanning station running NT, and the
information is placed in the text file along with the
PDF file in a directory that is accessed by a UNIX
application running on a HP-UX system. The UNIX application reads the text file and stores the document in a Panagon document managment system with the attributes from the text file (that were OCRd
during scanning.

We want to start putting the OCRd information in the document into user-defined DocInfo entries. The only problem is that I cannot successfully find a library for the HP-UX or UNIX environment that can read this information from a PDF file. The only one that looks like it may work is the GLANCE PDF library, but I cannot get to the Glance web page or find any information on them. The web page http::// is no longer available. Does anyone know of a library that I can obtain or possibly an alternate way to get in touch with Glance?

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
