Gudday.

Im new to this Forum, so please bear with me.

I want to read the text stream from a PDF file from Visual Basic.

I've been reading through the Developers FAQ and IAC reference, but Im still at a bit of a loss.
What I really want is a simple method of reading the text stream so I can locate specific words in the text.

Previously, I have been using the demo version of pdw.exe from Glance, which gives the text stream.
However, this has certain limitations, high on the list is the speed factor followed by the fact that it is a demo version and I can't afford to purchase the full version!

Currently I am going through the IAC reference in detail, as well as looking at the source code of a few freely available libraries, (PJ, etc) to see if they can be of any use and whether I can convert their code.
(I am playing with the idea of writing a JavaBean wrapper for PJ and then I can access it as an ActiveX object.)

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Kirk.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
