Aside from using IIS, what are my options for including search facilities for a collection of PDF documents?
I have already worked on the Catalog indexes, which work well, but due to the curse of the Web, people want to see their results as they would using a search engine, not in that tiny little window (heathens). Also the inability to use the search through a browser is quite restrictive.
I would like to be able to supply a solution to people which they can easily install on their individual systems/intranet without having to configure servers and face the wrath of their IT department.
I am quite happy to put a load of effort and programming into the task, but after a day of looking for some sort of starting point I am still no further into the project and fast running out of hair.
