Topic: Silent printing of PDF file on client

To whomever may be reading this-
I have an application that is using a Java servlet class to post a PDF document to an IE browser window, which the client can then print. I'd like to bypass the display and simply print the document on the cliet's default printer (assuming they've configured one). Is there a way to do this using Adobe's PDF library? I read that the PDFL is not licensed anymore. I have looked into 'PrintPDF' from ActivePDF a bit, but this requires a COM object on the client, does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks for your attention,
