Hi!

We have a collection of PDF documents stored in a
database and accessible through a web application
on our Intranet.
We would like to be able to insert the name of the
user (which we have available in a session variable)
into the PDF document retrieved so that there can
be accountability when documents are printed.

Are there any java class libraries that would allow
us to do this ? Ie, an API that would allow us
to supply text to be dynamically inserted into a PDF on retrieval (preferably on every page) before it is
displayed in a reader (eg, Acrobat 4.0).

Thanks for any info/leads
