Topic: Converting PDF to renderable text

I am looking to use a software to automate this process and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Currently we have Capture but I would like to automate things more.

I would like to watch a particular network drive for PDF's. If a PDF is saved on any folder in that drive it should then go thru a process to convert it to searchable text. Once it is done it should save it back in the same folder it found it in.

The problem with Capture is that if I set it up to watch those folders it goes thru the workflow (the first time) just fine and saves it back in the same location it found it. But the program recognizes it as a new pdf and starts the workflow process all over again. Now the program has an error and the file has been deleted from its location.

Does anyone have some comments or suggestions on what I can do????
