I am having problems with Internet Explorer 6(IE6) and Acrobat Reader 5(AR5). When I open the attached .PDF with AR5 it works OK. When I open the .PDF from within IE6, the CPU% of AR5 and IE6 together goes to 100%. IE6 still response to mouse clicks, and when I close IE6, CPU% of AR5 goes to 0%. I am pretty sure it is the external file reference for the stream data, when I include the stream data in the .PDF IE6 works OK.

I have already opened the .PDF in Acrobat 5 and saved it under a new name. Except for some minor layout issues no big differences. Optimizing the .PDF is not an option. What is wrong with this .PDF?

TIA for your reply

Kind regards, Ben

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
