Hi all,

I'd like to write a COM component that converts Word Documents to PDF without the use of 3rd party tools (like Ghost Word, Acrobat Distiller or AdLib eXpress)

Where do i start? Do i require knowledge of the PDF Specification and the Word Document Specification to convert?

Would it be better to convert to PostScript? Then do i need to write my own low level PostScript to PDF converter? or are there existing tools i can use?

Thanks in advance,
Matt
