Topic: Inserting a JPEG image into a PDF file

I have read a number of posts on how to insert a JPEG image into a PDF file. Some posts suggest the ability to put the file in byte for byte, setting the Filter to DCTDecode and you are ready to go.

I have been unable to get this to work so far.

Can someone please provide an example of a 1-page PDF file with a simple 4-pixel image? In other words, create a 2x2 jpeg image, and use the file inside a new PDF file.

What are the steps?

Thank you.
