This is a duplicate of a post in Forms & FDF which I posted there by mistake

I am trying to extract text from a pdf document in such a way that tables will show columns separated by something other than spaces.
Using Acrobat manually I can do this as follows:
select Table/Formatted Text Select Tool
Edit->Select All
Then go to destination eg Notepad and Paste
The table is pasted with tab separators

If I try to do this programatically through the OLE interface I find that SelectAll menu item is not enabled.
I am trying the following:
create AcroExch.App
create AcroExch.AVDoc
App.SetActiveTool BCLC:Table/Formatted_TextZoneTool
App.MenuItemIsEnabled for SelectAll indicates false
App.MenuItemExecute for SelectAll returns false

Can someone tell me why this is happening and how to get around it please?

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
