I'm experiencing the same problem as this person (see below) with Euro characters (€), but no one it seems has responded to him yet. Does anyone have more information about this? Thanks.

I've posted the following problem also to the Acrobat User to User forum. We create PDF files using MS Word 97 SR2 (Windows 95) and PDFMaker 4.0 and have come across the following problem: When headings include a protected space in the Word file, Acrobat 4 Reader will display a Euro symbol instead of a space character. I've tested the protected space character in the corresponding pdfmark and was able to confirm: "[ /Title (ABprotectedspaceC) /Dest /abc /Subtype /Link /OUT pdfmark" displays as ABeuroC in the bookmark created by Distiller. Is this a known bug ? Are there any solutions or workarounds apart from - avoid using protected spaces in headings - manually edit the affected bookmarks in the pdf file Thanks in advance, Reinhard
