Topic: Add Barcodes to an Existing PDF Document.

I have a VB program which must add barcodes (Code39) to existing PDF Documents.

This pgm will be installed on 40 PCs(Win2000)
These PCs can only use Adobe Acrobat 4.

Adobe Acrobat 4 doesn't support Barcode Fonts.

I was thinking of doing the following. Getting
Client A to call Server VB Pgm B which has Adobe Acrobat 5 on it (Allows Barcode), it adds the Barcodes and then sends the file back to Client PC. The Client PC then opens the Document using 4 and prints it.

This would require DCOM programming I'm not at this level yet.

(I've tested would Adobe Acrobat 4 print the Adobe file with the Barcode fonts in it and it does.)

Is there another way to do this, maybe a tool to convert text to a Barcode format and then I could insert it as a Bitmap onto the original PDF doc. using Adobe Acrobat 4.

Any suggesstions would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
