I've been reading all the posts about this error but none of the workarounds seem to work. Here's the scope on this project:
1) The web pages are run by a Java Framework and jsp pages
2) The FDF is generated by a SQL stored procedure that uses data from the database to create combobox items and fill in default data.
3) A temporary file is created on the server named by the loged on employee number .fdf
4) The browser is forwarded to the temp file by using the setNextPage() command built into the java class Page which does a response.redirect
The PDFs were not emailed but copied onto a shared drive and were then uploaded in BINARY mode.
In both IE and Netscape on my computer, some of them work but on another computer doing the exact same thing, none of them work. The error always being :'File is damaged and could not be repaired'.
I understand that this could be client settings but have checked that they are the same. I also tried (as suggested in another thread) adding:
but this didn't work either.
Below is a sample FDF that was generated by a SQL stored procedure.
1 0 obj
/FDF << /Fields [
<> <> <><><><><><><>)>><><>]
/F (http://localhost:8080/rtis/pdf/extsummary.pdf) >>
/Root 1 0 R
The other thing is that is all works fine though websphere on my harddrive and the problems only arrive on the server. Also, on the server the MIME type for the FDF and PDF extensions are set.
Any suggestions or ideas to try would be VERY greatly appreciated as I'm all out of them and this project is to be in production next week!
Thank you very much in advance,
PS The posted FDF won't appear the way it actually is so I've attached it as well.
