I am storing PDF files in a LONG RAW field in an Oracle database. I create these files using Acrobat Distiller 4.05. When I retrieve the file back from the database and try to open it, I get a "File does not begin with %PDF-" error. I went through a couple of sites and the help online and only thing that's mentioned is that this error occurs if the file does not start with %PDF. So, I opened the PDF file using Notepad to make sure and it does start with %PDF. I dont know if any one has come across such a problem. Our development has completely stopped because of this problem. Its happening with any file we create using Acrobat Distiller 4.05. Any tips, ideas please be free to post. Thanks in advance.
