I need to find a few solutions to problems created by workflow and capture in a medical record image system.
Our system uses scanned .tif images to capture into an existing PDF medical record. Sometimes the person scanning doesn't set the resolution or image properties right, creating a large .tif. This is causing our PDF files to grow HUGE.
Also, noone has been bookmarking any pages, so trying to find something in these PDFs is becoming very time consuming.
So - I would really appreciate guidance for the following:
1. Open and shrink existing .tif images inside these PDFs.
2. Split off and remerge pages from multiple files (we had people scanning in two offices for the same patient files - yikes! Now the info is different)
3. Add bookmarks to each page within the PDF so we can organize them into areas such as LABS, XRAYS, etc.
4. Maybe get some way to have the documents pull up faster across the multiple offices.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
