Hi,

I'm having a frustrating problem trying to load reader 4.0 from a CD-ROM (PC).
The CD auto-starts, then is supposed to launch a PDF using reader 4.0 off the CD (no install necessary). This occurs via an exe created in Director.

We do this all the time. It always works except today.
The symtoms are strange but consistent across the 4 PCs I've tested on. The reader begins to launch, then gets an error and reports that there was an error with acrord32 and then closes.

BUT, if you open acrord32.exe from the CD first (from file menu), THEN eject and re-insert the CD-ROM, it works fine! It only has problems the first time it encounters acrord32.exe.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Rowan
