Topic: How to convert Optimised PDF to Standard (ascii) PDF (Via Email)

I have an optimized PDF document, I would like to convert it to a standard ascii PDF file. I have tried to use distiller from ps file to ascii but still seem to end up with an optimized file. Can anyone tell me if this is possible.
What I would like to do here, is convert optimised forms from a third party into text. Add XSL statements to the text file. then use XSLT/XML to fill in the forms(documents) and mail/fax them to the third party automatically. Would this be better done with the FDF toolkit? It doesn't seem possible with XSL-FO! Can anyone think of a better solution that only requires my users to have Acrobat reader installed?
Thanks in advance
