I am trying to help someone abroad identify a particular software package that opens an existing PDF, allows one to make a change, and save it as pdf, without using other software or conversion tools.

His particular interest is in being able to change, for example, the font in a word processing document. So the way this works is to directly open the pdf file from the File/Open menu, make the format change, and click save.

I can't locate the package that does this, and oddly enough, we think it begins with A but it is definitely not Adobe/Acrobat, or Apache !!!

I'd be glad to search, but I'm not sure what criteria to enter when searching. If you know of this miracle package, please let me know. Also, should I post this question in the General Forum??
